StrathControl – The New Company Name for MLS UK Ltd.

Windpower control engineering firm to change name from MLS UK Ltd to StrathControl.

Glasgow, United Kingdom, February 01, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Glasgow based control engineering firm MLS UK Ltd., today announced its new company name StrathControl.

The new name, StrathControl, more accurately reflects the company’s renewed focus on control engineering products and services for the renewable energy industry and is designed to underline its origins as a Strathclyde University spin-off.

StrathControl’s core competency of control engineering technology will be used to enhance new products while continuing to service the needs of existing customers with the excellent level of quality the company is renowned for. New products include the "Intelligent Actuator" - a patented individual blade control solution; the wind and tidal control system design software package “WTTC Toolbox™ v3.0” and a Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) tool for testing control systems. Core services include wind and tidal turbine simulation and loads analysis; supervisory and dynamic controller design; implementation of control algorithms and turbine controller upgrades and retrofits.

Over the next several weeks, all future business activity will be transferred to the new name and “StrathControl” will be the cornerstone of the company’s international branding efforts. The company will continue to operate in its current structure and location with contacts and telephone numbers remaining unchanged.
