Thumprâ„¢ Cams Introduced for Ford Windsor Engines

New retro-fit hydraulic roller cams provide unmatched muscle-car sound & power

Memphis, TN, August 01, 2007 --( When you think about the car of your dreams most likely a “thumping” high performance sound is one of the first things that comes to mind. Now anyone with a Ford Windsor 221-351w engine built between 1969 and 1995 and originally equipped with a flat tappet valve train can make those dreams a reality. While these camshafts were designed for the late 5.0/351W firing order:1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8, they are compatible with all 1963-1995 Small Block Ford engines, with a simple firing order change required for early motors.

The new Thumpr® series of camshafts generate not only excellent power and torque figures, but a serious high performance camshaft sound. Available in three different levels, termed Thumpr™, Mutha’ Thumpr™ and Big Mutha’ Thumpr™, these are the perfect camshafts for street rods, musclecars and hot rod trucks.

The Thumpr™ Camshafts were a special challenge for the COMP Cams® engineers, who are usually focused on delivering the highest horsepower and torque figures attainable with their camshaft profiles independent of engine sound. The Thumpr™ line delivers something different; true high performance engine sound by “tightening” the lobe separation angle of the camshaft.

Best of all, these camshafts don’t sacrifice drivability so now you can have your performance ... and that great sound too. For more information about the new line of COMP Cams® Ford Thumpr™ Camshafts or any other COMP Cams® products, call us at 1-800-999-0853, or visit us online at
