PIAA Sponsored Ganassi 24 Hours at Daytona Team Blinds the Competition

PIAA Sponsored Chip Ganassi Racing takes the win at the 2013 24 Hours at Daytona!

Portland, OR, February 06, 2013 --(PR.com)-- After 24 hours of racing, PIAA sponsored Ganassi Racing found the top spot on the podium of the 2013 Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona. Aided by PIAA’s 600 HID lamp, the team of Scott Pruett, Juan Pablo Montoya, Memo Rojas, along with and Charlie Kimball beat the second place team by nearly 22 seconds. A key lineup change that involved Juan Pablo Montoya showed just how serious the team was about winning, and it delivered Sunday with its fifth win in 10 appearances in 2013 24 Hours at Daytona.

"The Rolex 24 is the most grueling race in the world. What makes the race truly unique is the amount of time racing in the dark. When running at 200 miles an hour in the dark lighting is paramount... PIAA lighting has been part of the team for many years and we're thankful to have them on board again this season... We have the best lights out there,” says Scott Pruett.

Scott Pruett received his 5th overall win in the 24 hours at Daytona, joining Hurley Haywood in the 5 time victor winners circle. The PIAA Sponsored Ganassi Racing team has an astonishing 50% win rate at the 24 Hours at Daytona.
