Vahrzaw’s band current members are Ben van Poppel (drums), Scott Williams (Guitars) and George VanDoorn (bass/vocals).

Vahrzaw started in 1992 under name 'Necromancy' and consisted of high school friends George VanDoorn (vocals), Scott Williams (guitar), Steven Forster (guitar) and Scott Rowland (drums). They played “primitive death metal” and their first gig was in front of a massive 800plus crowd at a local 'battle of the bands'.

In 1994 influenced by the second wave of black metal innovators and changing the direction away from death metal the band gets a shake up and new line up. After several band name changes and new members, it finally decided on Vahrzaw and the current line up.

By 1996, Vahrzaw release their third demo titled 'Black Resplendent Waters' (now available on iTune’s as distributed by Musicadium). This recording consisted of songs written from 1993-1995. The demo was a huge success and attracted hard core fans from as faraway as Norway, Costa Rica, the UK & USA.

After a slowing down of pace Vahrzaw eventually disbands around the start of 1998 with much vocal disappointment from their fans. Their loud cry reaches the bands ears and in 2005 Vahrzaw reforms. This break obviously provided new energy and they slammed out several EP over several years and were initially sold their successful albums through zines and friends are now distributing their EP’s digitally via Musicadium.
