Critical Software Maintains Elite Status with Highest Level of Quality Certification
Critical Software confirms its status as one of the best recognized in the world for the quality of its processes, as it achieves renewal of its CMMI Level 5 certification. This certification was also extended, for the first time, to its subsidiary in Brazil.
Globally, only about 5% of the organizations audited against this model achieve maturity level 5, and there are less than twenty in Europe. Critical was the first company in Portugal to achieve this distinction, in 2009.

CMMI® is the reference model for continuous improvement of products, processes and systems developed by the Software Engineering Institute (now designated as the CMMI Institute) from Carnegie Mellon University. It is recognized as the most demanding and prestigious reference model worldwide in the area of software engineering, being adopted by organizations around the world, both in the military as in civil sectors. It is also financed by the U.S. Department of Defense (U.S. DoD) to be employed in response to the growing challenge of developing programs and systems in response to complex, critical and large-scale problems. Today CMMI model is a tool of excellence that ensures better products and services to customers, whether at business or government agencies.
