Alpha Unveils Diverse Power Products at Andina Link 2013 in Colombia

Bellingham, WA, February 28, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Global power solutions provider, Alpha Technologies, will display a full line of CableTV/Broadband powering products at Andina Link Exhibition in Cartagena, Colombia. Alpha’s scheduled lineup includes the LPE Power System, AlphaGen™ DCX3000 and Alpha Power Booster, each offering unique operating advantages with a distinct focus on customer serviceability.

“Andina Link is a tremendous opportunity to demonstrate our most recent innovations to the Latin America market,” said Antonio Galvez, Director of Latin America Sales. “We’ve purposely selected a diverse range of cable/broadband power solutions to give our customers a first-hand look at how our products can effectively operate in the region’s unique environment.”

To satisfy space-constrained and lower power requirements, Alpha will demo the LPE Power System featuring the rugged and economical LPE Enclosure, high-efficiency XM2-300HP CableUPS®, and extended runtime AlphaCell® HP batteries. The complete system focuses on enhanced efficiency and reliability while minimizing physical footprint, making it a superior solution for densely populated installation sites.

To address the needs of a sometimes unstable utility power grid, Alpha will showcase the AlphaGen™ DCX3000, a compact, lightweight generator designed specifically for cable television, telecommunications and broadband applications. The system is completely enclosed for safe field operation and features intelligent noise muffling technology, a convenient front panel with keyed on/off switch, output connector, output indicators, voltmeter, fuel valve and engine choke.

For improved performance at the end of an existing network, Alpha has developed the Alpha Power Booster, a high-efficiency auto transformer that is configurable to varying output voltages and comes standard in a water-tight enclosure with wall or strand mount capabilities. The design reduces life cycle cost by eliminating lightly loaded power supplies at the end of long amplifier cascades and saves operators more than half the cost of adding a new power system.

Alpha’s innovative power solutions will be on display at Andina Link, an exhibition focusing on the modernization and development of technological platforms for Cable TV and telecommunications services in the Latin America region. The Cartagena Conventions Center will host the event from February 26-28, and Alpha’s power products can be seen in booth #114.
