Editor Susan Malone Helps New Children's Author Kevin Porter to be Published

“Missing” to Hit Middle-Grade Market Later This Year with Traditional Publisher

Dallas, TX, February 28, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Developmental Editor Susan Mary Malone (http://www.maloneeditorial.com/) has recently helped new author, Kevin Porter, become published with a traditional publisher. The author, a new YA writer, has completed the novel “Missing,” which will be published with The Artists’ Orchard.

This will be Porter’s first published work, a mid-grade mystery novel. Susan Mary Malone contributed her book editing services to the work before submission to the publisher, Sherry Kaier of The Artists’ Orchard. The Artists’ Orchard selects only two books for publishing per year. Both Ms. Malone and Mr. Porter were very pleased with the novel’s acceptance. This marks the 42nd book edited by Ms. Malone to be published by a traditional publisher.

Susan Mary Malone stated: “It’s the crowning moment in a writer’s life, to see the publishing of his debut novel. This is a mid-grade mystery novel--which is very tough to sell in this market! I am so proud of Kevin. I've been working with this young man for nearly a decade, and he kept at it and kept digging deeper and never gave up--the keys to success in this business. This is a bang-up debut novel, and I look for him to do very well!”
