SWACHA and Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas Announce the Winners of the "Art of Saving" Contest

Dallas, TX, March 01, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Dallas-based SWACHA, one of the largest not-for-profit regional electronic payment associations in the country, and Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas today announce the winners of the “Art of Saving” America Saves Week Art Contest.

Six winners were selected from more than 50 entries from throughout the Dallas Metroplex who had to make it through a series of judges including SWACHA members, Former Dallas Cowboy and Pro Football Hall of Fame member Emmitt Smith, Kellie Rasberry, radio co-host of the Kidd Kraddick Show on KISS FM, and Pamela Yip, a financial reporter for the Dallas Morning News, and through a popular vote via Facebook.

Winners from the 2013 “Art of Saving” America Saves Week Art Contest include:

Ages 8 – 10:
1st place – Estefany Hernandez, Maple Lawn
2nd place - Jonathan Serrano, Maple Lawn
3rd place - Lizette Hernandez/America Chavez, Wellington

Ages 11 – 13:
1st place - Vondale Robinson, Oak Cliff
2nd place - Esmerelda Arrellano, Maple Lawn
3rd place - Monica Whitaker, East Dallas

The winning artwork will be unveiled during a ceremony at 6 p.m., Feb. 28 at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas corporate office at 4816 Worth St. The top three winners in each age category will be awarded the following prizes: first place winners receive a $200 savings account, second place winners receive a $100 savings account, and third places winners receive a $50 savings account.
