Malfunction Film Announces Production Partnerships

Malfunction Films has entered into agreements to provide pre-production and production services for two motion picture projects.

San Diego, CA, March 01, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Malfunction Films (http://www.malfunctionfilms.com) and Ariscope Studios (http://ariscopestudios.com) have teamed up to produce The Search, a dramatic web series about an investigator's search for her missing sister and the plotters responsible for a series of kidnappings that have shaken the scientific community. The series will shoot in various locations throughout San Diego County. Ariscope Studios founder Elizabeth Allen is the head writer for the series and will direct some of the episodes. Malfunction Films will provide pre-production and production services including story consultation, development assistance and line production. Production is scheduled to begin this spring.

Ariscope Studios is involved in creating, developing, and producing independent film and web series. The company also provides video and photography services for business clients.

Malfunction Film is also working with independent writer/producer Ramona Frye to develop and produce "The Awakening of Myra Thomas," the paranormal story of a white executive and her past life as a black slave. The project will initially be produced as a short film that will later be expanded to feature length as financing is obtained.

Malfunction Films, based in San Diego, specializes in the development and production of feature films, short films and episodic web series. Company founder Dave Barak recently launched "Project Nine," an experimental film program that aims to produce quality movies at or below specific budget limits - $9,999.99 for short films of up to nine minutes, and budgets up to $99,999.99 for feature films up to 99 minutes long. Malfunction Films is currently seeking completed screenplays for consideration.
