Infor Conference Helps Process Manufacturers Gain Competitive Edge

Globalization and Regulatory Compliance Highlighted at Inforum 2007

Atlanta, GA, August 05, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Infor today announced more than 40 educational sessions that examine current challenges and trends in the process industries will be presented at the company’s global annual user conference, Inforum 2007. Inforum will be held September 9-12 at Las Vegas’ Sands Expo and Convention Center. Infor experts, partners and process manufacturing customers including Alliance Plastics, Odom’s Tennessee Pride, and Hormel Foods Corporation, among others, will present case studies and best practices for gaining competitive advantages with Infor’s business-specific solutions.

Process manufacturers will gain insight into navigating the complex regulatory requirements of global markets during a session hosted by Rory Granros, Infor’s director of industry and product marketing for Process Industries. On Tuesday, September 11, Granros will present “The Value of a Risk-Based Compliance Strategy,” which will explore how organizations can mitigate the risk associated with compliance in overseas markets, and provide advice to help process manufacturers comply with industry and regional regulatory requirements.

“To compete in today’s global landscape, process manufacturers must adopt proactive compliance strategies and assess compliance early in and throughout the product lifecycle,” said Granros. “By developing systematic, repeatable product compliance processes that efficiently address today’s complex regulatory environment, organizations are well positioned to drive business growth through innovation and market expansion.”

Other session topics include “Extending Your ERP,” “Material Introduction Best Practices,” “Managing Food Labeling,” “Getting Ready for REACH” and a Q & A session where attendees can interact with Infor executives to obtain proven strategies to resolve their greatest business challenges. In addition, manufacturers from the specialty chemical, food and beverage, consumer product goods, apparel and footwear, and life sciences industries will speak on topics such as “Enhanced Overhead Costing,” “Material Scheduling” and “New Product Development and Introduction.”

Inforum 2007 offers networking opportunities such as ConnectAtInforum.com, a business matchmaking tool to help customers connect with like-minded peers prior to and during the conference, and Enterprising Square, a dedicated space organized into Infor solution communities to encourage idea sharing between Inforum activities.

Beginning in August, attendees can create a conference agenda using a new tool, U-Builder, on Inforum2007.com. U-Builder enables attendees to customize their schedule based on personal interests, allowing them to plan and organize all of their conference activities and manage conflicts.

Inforum 2007 is expected to attract customers and partners from around the world who come to learn about new business opportunities, collaborate on Infor's business-specific solutions, and get the latest story on the product roadmaps for their solutions.
