"As a kid, I remember wondering, 'How the heck does this doorknob work?' I was able to recognize that there were a couple of screws holding the knob assembly together. Against my mother's wishes, I took it apart, and what I saw sparked an interest in finding out how virtually everything works.
"When I was 9 years old, I picked up a push mower from a neighbor of mine. It didn't run, but with my mentor's help, we got it running and I immediately went door-to-door on my block, asking folks if they would hire me to mow their lawns. By the time I was 14, I had the responsibility of 14 lawns.
"I worked summers with remodelers, shadowed my mentor on jobs focusing on electrical and plumbing repairs, worked with my dad at the family grocery store (where I learned a lot about building maintenance, you know, to keep costs down :), I worked as a motorcycle parts employee and mechanic for a number of years, and I was always lending a helping hand to friends and family in the form of home repairs.
"Fast forward almost 20 years, and today I have pooled all my skills, experience, passions, and knowledge into my Home Services business. While I have learned a whole lot over the years, my inherent humility keeps me focused and interested in the details. I will never stop learning."
