Graphic Novel - Cry Wolf - Featured on Global Talk Radio

Toledo, OH, December 16, 2005 --(PR.com)-- Cry Wolf’s author, Doug Crill, had ample time to discuss the merits of his latest book last night in a taped interview for the program – “A Story to Tell” -- Global Talk Radio’s very successful daily series. Both Crill and his novel were showcased last night for the entire program, which is to be aired on this Tuesday’s (December 13) noon edition of “A Story to Tell,” hosted by Kevin Dawson.

“I was thrilled beyond words to be a part of this fine radio program, said Crill, “ and I am looking forward to doing it again in the very near future.” That opportunity may occur sooner then Crill realizes due to the monstrous success of this critically acclaimed graphic novel, as the second installment of the series (Ghost of Sijan) will be released in early 2006 according to Cry Wolf’s publisher Open Book Press of Canada.

The entire series (four novels) revolves around the exploits of private investigator Kurt Angelo in his attempts to deal with a lycanthropic curse. The majority of the story takes place during Prohibition in the crime-infested city of Chicago. Aside from the “Windy City,” the remainder of Cry Wolf unfolds in the jungles of Borneo, where Kurt not only suffers from the loss of his manhood, but he must also learn to cope with a new identity.

Cry Wolf has been recognized in the academic circles of higher learning as a teaching tool. Such is the case for a writing class at the University of New Mexico that will require students who attend next semester’s English 220 to read Cry Wolf along with several other texts about lycanthropy and then attempt to explain humankind’s fascination with the subject in their own words. The book was also included in the celebrity gift bags at this year’s American Music Awards. Both of these honors have made Crill as well as the book’s illustrator, Daniel J. Frey, very happy indeed, not to mention their publisher Open Book Press.

Cry Wolf is available at: www.amazon.com, www.booksurge.com,
www.openbookpress.com, www.crywolfgraphicnovel.com and a host of others as well as Wal-mart, Barnes & Noble, Borders, Books-A-Million and fine book stores everywhere.
