Fairview, NJ, March 23, 2013 --(PR.com
)-- Norman Oro’s latest self-published science fiction book, The Legend of Team 9, is now available in paperback and as an e-book through Amazon.com. It follows the adventures of physicist Jeremy Marshall as he struggles to protect the Earth from an unprecedented crisis involving a vital energy source.
Regarding his latest book, Norman Oro explained, “Like many stories, there are a few ways to look at it. On one level, part of it's about dealing with disruptions in things we take for granted. I experienced that firsthand during Hurricane Sandy. Fortunately where I live in New Jersey wasn't too hard hit, but I'd never gone through anything quite like that. It opened my eyes to how lucky we are to have the modern conveniences we have. There's some of that in The Legend of Team 9; dealing with the loss of something you just assumed would always be there.”
As for interpreting stories, he added, “What's most important to me is that people like the book. Although interpreting different levels of meaning can be enjoyable, ultimately The Legend of Team 9 is a science fiction adventure story. If the reader enjoys it at that level, I've done my job as an author.”
The Legend of Team 9 is now available in paperback ($10.99) through Amazon.com and CreateSpace. The e-book version ($5.99) is also available through Amazon.com.
About The Legend of Team 9
The Legend of Team 9 is a science fiction book in the Away series that chronicles the continuing adventures of quantum physicist Dr. Jeremy Marshall. Centuries after joining an ancient interplanetary alliance, and battling its one-time nemesis, the Grell Domain, Earth is at peace. However, that idyll isn't to last. Soon the Earth finds itself facing an unprecedented crisis involving the Allen field, a power source critical to the Alliance. To safeguard the field, Dr. Marshall joins forces with the legendary group of explorers known as Team 9. Together they journey to the storm-wracked world of Mjulnor, where they learn of Apaht, a supernatural being of pure malice. Dr. Marshall and his friends scramble to protect the field even as Apaht plunges the Alliance into a twilight of violence and chaos from which it may never emerge. If they succeed, it will be a feat worthy of legend... a feat worthy of the legend of Team 9.
