)-- Endeavor, the leading provider of outsourced professional services for carriers, service providers, systems integrators, VARs, and equipment manufacturers, is pleased to announce that 9 of its staff members completed the 2013 Publix Georgia Half Marathon on Sunday, March 17th. The race hosted over 16,000 runners and tens of thousands more total participants, utilizing its partnerships with several non-profit organizations and their fundraising activities to help promote the sport of running and attract new runners. The race's 13.1-mile course began at Centennial Olympic Park in the heart of downtown, took runners throughout downtown Atlanta, as well as several historic districts and scenic neighborhoods.
Running in the Publix Georgia Marathon has become a tradition for Endeavor, as this is the fourth year the company has sponsored its staff by providing training support, fronting their entry fees, and equipping each participant with an Endeavor racing jersey. During the 16 weeks preceding the race, a chart was displayed in the break room that tracked the weekly training mileage for each participant. In total, the team logged over 2,000 training miles in preparation for the race. The Endeavor team members who participated are: Jennifer Baron, Kristina Bundy, David Cardenas, Kibathi Kihara, Jacki Kirsch, Chris Lewis, Rob O’Brien, Sean Thomasson, and Erin Youngblood.
“I’m very proud of the efforts of the Endeavor Half Marathon Team,” said Jacki Kirsch, who participated in the race and served as the organizer and chief motivator for the Endeavor team. “The hard work pays off when you finally cross that finish line, and hopefully our efforts will inspire our peers to seek new challenges and lead a healthier lifestyle.”
