Jewish Social Justice Trips to Thailand This Summer

New York, NY, March 27, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Justifi: Jewish Social Justice will be running three trips to Thailand this summer for 10 days each. The trips will run in May (21st-30th), June (4th-15th) and July (2nd-11th).

Founded by Rabbi Jamie Cowland, Justifi is a life-changing social justice program that takes Jewish young professionals to Thailand to work with victims of human trafficking and child sexual exploitation. Participants will travel across Thailand, from the bustling metropolis of Bangkok to the cultural capital of Chiang Mai and the rural villages near Chiang Rai.

Based on the concept of "tikkun olam," Hebrew for "healing the world" participants will have a chance to work directly with affected populations while learning about the cultural impact of Western sex tourism. They will work side by side with local Thai grassroots organizations and understand how today's innovative social entrepreneurs are tackling one of the world's most urgent problems - human trafficking.
