Pizzeria Manager Sets New World Record

Bellefontaine, OH, March 30, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Brittany Rowe, Assistant Manager at Six Hundred Downtown in Bellefontaine, OH, brought home a gold medal from the World Pizza Games in Las Vegas, NV. Beating out competitors from around the world, Brittany took 1st place and set a new world record in the Fastest Dough competition. Brittany slapped out five 12oz dough balls to cover five 12” pizza screens in a blazing 33.94 seconds, easily beating the previous record of 41.24 seconds set in 2007. Brittany also holds a gold and bronze medal from previous years at the World Pizza Games.

Representing Six Hundred Downtown’s sister location, Michael Angelo’s Pizza in Rushsylvania, OH, was Assistant Manager Ashley Parthemore. Being her first time at the World Pizza Games, Ashley had an outstanding performance. Ashley placed fourth in the Pizza Triathlon, sixth in the Fastest Pizza Box Folding, and sixth place in the Largest Dough competitions.

The World Pizza Games is an international pizza competition held in conjunction with the International Pizza Expo, the world's largest pizza show, held each year in Las Vegas, NV. Competitors compete in categories such as the Largest Dough Stretch, Fastest Dough, Pizza Triathlon, Fastest Pizza Box Folding, and Freestyle Acrobatics.
