Grassmann grew up in Eaton, OH, and joined the Army in March of 2004. After going through basic training at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri, and then advanced training at Fort Drum in New York, he was deployed to Iraq for two separate tours of duty. Grassmann’s passion for automotive repair came as a result of his assignment in Iraq. He is now working on a degree from Sinclair Community College in Automotive Technology. Grassmann and his wife of six years have a beautiful four-year-old daughter.
