Nylon Fusion Theatre Company Announces Playwrights for the April 29 and April 30 2013 “This Round’s On Us” 10-Minute Play Festival

New York, NY, April 05, 2013 --(PR.com)-- “This Round’s On Us” – After the Fool... is the second fundraising event of the year to support Nylon Fusion Theatre Company’s 5th Season. The festival will feature 10 new ten-minute plays, running in two sets of five plays each, on Monday and Tuesday April 29th and 30th, with shows at 7 PM and 9PM. The festival will be presented at the Gene Frankel Theatre at 24 Bond Street in New York, New York.

The festival includes playwrights Jerrod Bogard, Stuart Caldwell, Matt Crowley, John C. Davenport, Mike Folie, Peter Hsieh, and Joseph Samuel Wright.

Jokes won’t be the only thing being played at Nylon Fusion’s After the Fool... Trickery, lies, and deceit along with a little sexy humor, are the themes that tie the short plays together in this festival.

"This Round's On Us" brings artists and audiences together in a festive celebration of independent theater and community. "Everyone comes to hear the plays from our featured playwrights and company writers as well as the best seven or eight plays chosen from the hundreds of submissions we receive," explains Ivette Dumeng, Artistic Director. "But beyond an evening of entertainment, everyone also gets to mingle and enjoy our world-renowned sangria!"

Ross Evans, Assistant Director of Venus in Fur and a playwright, noted after having his work performed last season: "The caliber of writing in the 10-minute plays is outstanding and I was honored to be a part of the event.” They have featured new plays by John Patrick Shanley, Craig SirmuMsila Grant, and now Kristina Poe. Award-winning writer Don Nigro will be featured at their Independence event this Summer, and Robert Askins (Hand Of God) at the Halloween festival which will be the last in 2013.
