Las Vegas, NV, August 11, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Former Oakland A's and San Diego Padres player Nate Colbert has joined the team at TPG. Known as the "Fastest Big Man in the Major Leagues" and a "slick" first baseman and outfielder, Nate played for 10 years making history in 1972 when he hit 5 homeruns in Atlanta - one was a grand slam - tying Stan Musial's 1954 record. Colbert set other records that same day with 13 RBI's and 22 bases.

As a coach at TPG, Nate brings his expertise and reputation to help "perfect" the skills of the serious baseball students. Over 150 of his personally trained players have gone pro and he has over 50 college recipients that have also gone on to play professional baseball, one of which is in the Hall of Fame.

The Perfect Game Baseball & Softball Academy is so honored to have Nate Colbert join the lineup of coaches. Players can come to the Academy for private lessons in hitting, pitching, fielding and catching. The TPG coaching staff believes that the teaching and training of proper techniques of all aspects of baseball are vital to the performance at every level of the sport. Learning the fundamentals early on will avoid bad habits and give each player a strong foundation to build on.

TPG is located at 6610 W. Arby Ave in the southwest part of Las Vegas. Open every day, players can come for batting practice or private lessons, attend clinics and camps.
