Mt. Lebanon, PA, April 09, 2013 --(PR.com
)-- For photographer Missy Timko of Powder Blue Photography, it’s all about capturing adults and children as their natural, beautiful selves. Missy has brought her portrait studio to the Pittsburgh South Hills from Portland, Oregon, where she did maternity, newborn, child, and family portraits in studio and on location.
“It is important to me to connect with moms and make people feel comfortable in front of my camera,” Missy says, “As a mom of two, I understand that it’s hard to get everyone looking their best, cleaned up, and well-rested all at the same time for a portrait. It’s challenging to be a mom, especially a new mom, and have the pressure to get everyone together; sometimes people skip portraits, which they always regret! There is no need to be anxious. Portraiture can be a fun, family bonding experience and you certainly will be glad you did it. I recommend every family have an annual portrait in the summer or fall as well as pictures to commemorate little ones’ birthdays or the birth of a new baby. I tend to form long-term relationships with clients, and that is my goal!”
Sometimes people fear that their portraits will turn out to be stiff, inaccurate representations of themselves. Missy encourages her clients to have fun and to relax during her shoots so that true personalities and interactions shine through in family portraits. Oftentimes portrait clients express surprise at the ease they felt during their portrait sessions. Client Darian said the following of her experience:
“Missy is an amazing photographer and artist! I recommend her without any hesitation. The pictures she took of my 7-month-old son are absolutely amazing. Everyone comments on the portraits, saying that she was able to really capture his personality in the pictures. She also took portraits of my son and me that also really capture our relationship.
“I’m looking forward to future portrait sessions with Missy as our son grows up and our family expands. Missy is a ton of fun to be around. It’s easy to relax and have fun while she’s masterminding these amazing and beautiful images. She has an unreal ability to find and use the everyday scenery around and translate it into magical backgrounds.
“Her turnaround time is super quick. And she’s great at communicating with her customers. I’d suggest checking out her portfolio and you can see for yourself how fantastic her portfolio is.”
Missy is based in Mt. Lebanon and hopes to form a special bond in Mt. Lebanon and surrounding communities in the coming months as she establishes her business in the neighborhood.
