Hikari Kesho: Japanese Bondage Shibari Goes to Art

Renowned photographer Hikari Kesho signs with Vecchiato Art Galleries: he creates stunning photographs about “shibari” (Japanese traditional rope bondage) with beautiful models and emotional settings.

Padova, Italy, April 10, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Hikari Kesho is unique in the world, since he is a “shibari” master who creates the bondage settings and an expert photographer who shots the scene.

His art is a combination of performance and photography, reaching results of great aesthetical and artistic value.

Hikari Kesho chooses the models and creates the stage (indoor studio or outdoor location), then he ties the model according to “shibari” tradition and finally he shots the photos.

From time to time he works outdoor, to create spectacular settings and to feel the challenge of tying a nude model in public, photograph the scene and…rapidly “escape” from the place.

Hikari Kesho artworks have been published in many books and magazines (Goliath books, Playboy, Blue magazine ) and in 2012 he was selected (the only Italian photographer) for the exhibition “The Art of Contemporary Shibari” inside the FotoFest®, the first international Biennial of Photography and Photo-related Art in the United States. Hikari Kesho's photo "Observing the Stillness of Brenta River" was chosen to be the official poster of the Biennial.

In March, 2013 Hikari Kesho signs with the contemporary art gallery Vecchiato, which will promote him worldwide, recognizing the quality and unique characteristics of his art.
