Utilize the Model 7236E 8-Channel RJ45 A/B Switch via a Computer and Standard Web Browser

The new Model 7236E is easily controlled from a Web browser by entering in the IP address of the switch. Graphical representation allows simple point and click control.

Cranston, RI, April 11, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Electro Standards Laboratories, Cranston, RI, announces the new Model 7236E 8-Channel RJ45 A/B Switch with GUI Remote Access. The PathWay Model 7236E is controlled locally via a front-panel pushbutton, or remotely via an RJ45 Remote port located on the rear panel. Each channel allows access to two RJ45 networks from one common network or device. The Model 7236E switches all 8 pins of the RJ45 interface. The switch is transparent to data speed and format.

The RJ45 remote port accepts 10/100 Base-T Ethernet and is IP Addressable with a Graphical User Interface. This allows remote access from a standard web browser by simply entering in the IP address of the switch. Access is permitted after the password is authenticated. User privileges are configurable by the supervisor status user. Graphical representation allows simple point and click control. The front-panel pushbutton control can be locked out via this remote control feature.

The Model 7236E switches all 8 channels simultaneously. Front-panel LED’s display switch position and power status. The switch retains the last switch position in the event of a power loss and continues to pass data. The three RJ45 female port connectors are labeled A, B, and COMMON for each of the channels. One RJ45 female on the rear-panel accepts 10/100 Base-T LAN Ethernet, Telnet and Graphical User Interface (GUI).

Power is provided by a UL approved 100VAC/240VAC, 50Hz/60Hz wall mount power module that supplies 12 VDC, 500mA to the unit. This power supply has a 2-prong, US, non-polarized plug. A wide range power option, Catalog No. 517277, is available. The wide range power module is a CE, RoHS, and UL listed table mount unit that provides 100VAC/240VAC, 50Hz/60Hz for use in place of the standard power module that is included with the unit. The wide range power module has an IEC 60320 C14 inlet that is ideal for international applications.

The Model 7236E is configured in a rackmount housing. The switch dimensions are 19.0” W x 1.75” H x 10.0” D (48.3 x 4.4 x 25.4 cm). The weight is approximately 5.5 lbs. (2.5 Kg). This switch is available for shipment worldwide.
