Hoover and Associates Financial Services, Inc. hosted a well attended Lunch and Learn on Thursday March 21st, 2013 at Maggiano’s Little Italy restaurant in Troy, Michigan. The topic discussed at this event focused primarily on HealthCare Reform.

Randall A. Hoover, ChFC, REBC, CLU, RHU, and LIC, President at Hoover and Associates Financial Services lead the discussion about expected changes, due to PPACA, in the coming years and how they will affect businesses. Michael J. Friedman, Partner Honigman, Miller, Schwartz, and Cohn LLP, provided in-depth discussion regarding the Play-or-Pay provision and how it pertains to various sizes of business. James Branchik, CEBS of Priority Health provided very insightful responses from the carrier perspective on several PPACA issues including COBRA. Jennifer Warner, V.P. of Insurance Operations of the Michigan Business and Professional Association provided an overview of related services for small businesses. Shane Russell, Regional V.P. of American Funds provided on overview of opportunities in the market for 2013. Some of the PPACA discussed at the luncheon were:
