Cambridge, MA, April 14, 2013 --(PR.com
)-- YesWalker.com, an online retailer of women's contemporary shoes and bags, recently served as a platinum sponsor for the 2013 edition of IDENTITIES, an annual fashion show staged by students of Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. YesWalker.com provided a cash donation to the show, which was held April 5 at the university’s Northwest Labs.
For this year's event, IDENTITIES partnered with Loqall, a fashion startup developed out of Harvard, to focus on fashion entrepreneurship and emerging designers. In order to emphasize the future of student fashion, they also hosted a fashion competition, where a total of 68 student models on the runway showcased the winning pieces from the 8 finalists as well select works of several student designers.
Since its inception in 2006, IDENTITIES has served as a creative outlet for the Harvard student community and as a vehicle for social commentary. The show is annually presented to a sold-out audience comprised of Harvard students, alumni and the general public.
Rachel Chanen, one of the executive producers of this year's show, enthusiastically welcomed YesWalker.com's participation in this year's production. "IDENTITIES views style as a dynamic expression of self that is as diverse as the Harvard student community," she stated. "Our 2013 show seeks to embody these distinctions by featuring a wide range of designers, retailers and brands from student designers to industry veterans. This would not be possible without the strong support of our sponsors such as YesWalker.com."

In contrast to other student shows, Identities is focused on presenting a conceptual, design-centered look at fashion, while staying true to themes that appeal to students. Identities places a strong emphasis on promoting the design community at Harvard, seeking to attract students who are passionate about design and the fashion industry.
