The IAB Partner with LILA to Introduce A Range of Seminars

The International Association of Book-keepers (IAB) have joined up with the Liverpool International Language Academy (LILA) to launch a series of weekend seminars and workshops to be held in Liverpool.

Maidstone, United Kingdom, April 19, 2013 --(PR.com)-- In an effort to provide more opportunities for professional development in the bookkeeping sector within the UK and internationally the IAB are to join up with LILA to hold a series of ‘long weekend’ seminars and workshops to add an international feel to the events.

The seminars and workshops will be held in LILA’s first-class facilities and at the event an entire floor will be reserved for the IAB’s CPD events.

The events are to be held during September 2013 and May 2014. The programme is set to run from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning and the IAB have suggested that international guests arrive on Thursday.

Throughout the weekend there will be a number of speakers from the IAB and from the finance sector discussing the latest news and offering advice about the bookkeeping sector. There will also be a number of representatives from the IAB’s training and examination team available to offer advice on their programmes and examinations.

Geoff Barclay, International Development Advisor at the IAB commented; “IAB's commitment to its international markets not only remains firm but is an essential part of this Professional and Awarding Body's future development and expansion. It is apparent that the IAB qualifications have great relevance to professional development in the international market place and are a means to encourage mobility, both in terms of career advancement and in establishing international opportunities. With this in mind the establishment of two UK based workshop seminars a year for members is a logical extension of our support structure, a structure which brings tangible benefits to members and is undoubtedly an effective means of providing an innovative delivery of Continuing Professional Development updates. The choice of Liverpool is a happy one for not only is this 2008 Capital of Culture now firmly established as a major player in the world of Finance and Entrepreneurship but the partnership the IAB enjoys with LILA in the language and professional training field, enables us to have access to outstanding training and seminar rooms in an extremely convenient and attractive downtown location.”

“We look forward to welcoming both international members and Centre representatives to the first 'long weekend' in September and are sure too that the participation of UK members will result in a most cosmopolitan event, it bringing personal and business development advantages to one and all."

Further details and booking arrangements regarding the opening weekend in September 2013 will be available on the IAB’s website from June 1st.

The IAB was founded in 1973 and was setup to assist the needs of bookkeepers and accounting professionals in the UK and internationally. The IAB aim to protect the public’s interest in an effort to ensure that only qualified individuals can provide bookkeeping services.
