Bargain Box’s Drop & Shop Returns April 19-21

Shoppers get discount at nearly two dozen Cameron Village stores, restaurants.

Raleigh, NC, April 19, 2013 --( The Junior League of Raleigh’s Bargain Box will have its 4th annual Drop & Shop April 19-21. Shoppers are encouraged to donate five items of gently used clothing at one of the “drop” tables located throughout Cameron Village. In return, they’ll receive a 20 percent off coupon good for one item at a participating store or restaurant (some stores have exclusions). Shoppers are limited to three coupons. Donations help the Bargain Box thrift store raise funds to support the Junior League of Raleigh's community projects. Shoppers may drop clothing from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, April 19, and Saturday, April 20, and from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday April 22.

About the Junior League of Raleigh:
The Junior League of Raleigh ( is a nonprofit organization focused on training women as community leaders and volunteers. The League is a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International and is the 9th largest of 294 Leagues internationally. The Raleigh League has more than 1,800 members serving Wake County with programs of education and volunteer service. The League has contributed more than 232,000 volunteer hours since 2000, focusing on promising youth.

The Bargain Box ( sells high quality, second-hand merchandise provided by League members and community donors. As one of the League’s major fundraisers, the Bargain Box supports Junior League programs and services. The Bargain Box’s Bargain Bucks voucher program helps meet immediate clothing and household needs to those referred by local agencies. The Bargain Box is located at 401 Woodburn Road in Cameron Village.
