Local Woman Teaches Unique Classes with a New Twist on the Hula Hoop

Lansdowne, PA, April 26, 2013 --(PR.com)-- As flowers bloom and the sun warms the air, you’ll find Sarah Jordan at Home Depot buying irrigation tubing and electrical tape-but she doesn’t plan on using it for plumbing or gardening. Instead, the owner of Hooping by Sarah LLC, uses the tubing to create handmade hula hoops for the library classes she teaches in Pennsylvania, NJ, and Delaware. “It feels great to show kids that they are amazing because of their skills, and teach them that exercise is fun,” Jordan says.

Her business is based out of her home in Lansdowne, PA. After launching her business in 2010, Jordan now ships all over the world.

“Other people told me that starting my own business was a gamble, but I didn’t have a single doubt in my mind.” Jordan sells her hoops via her website and got her start with hoop dance when a hoop literally fell on her at a concert in 2009.

Sarah will be performing a hoop dance at the Rotunda in Philadelphia on May 1st.
