Two SC Solutions Employees Attend Regional Contracting Forum in Seattle

An extensive portfolio of work in both the port and marine industry and the oil and gas arena caught the attention of architectural engineering firms and government agencies at the 11th Annual Regional Contracting Forum in Seattle.

Seattle, WA, April 30, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Two employees of SC Solutions, Inc., which is headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, recently attended the 11th Annual Regional Contracting Forum at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, Washington. This free event brought together procurement representatives from the entire Puget Sound Region, including cities, counties, port authorities, and state and federal agencies, enabling contractors and consultants to network and meet government representatives under one roof. The Forum is promoted as a “reverse trade show” with government representatives staffing exhibit booths and meeting one-on-one with attendees.

Chuck Ruth, Engineering Manager at the Seattle office of SC Solutions, and Matt Bowers, Project Manager at SC Headquarters in Sunnyvale, attended the event on April 2, 2013. Ruth and Bowers attended several workshop presentations and panel discussions. The Forum was a positive resource and a solid networking opportunity.

“Our one-on-one sessions went really well. We had very strong interest from A/E firms, not only in our port and marina work, but in the wide variety of projects we’ve tackled in the oil and gas industry,” said Ruth. “We’ve worked on a wide range of exciting, well-known projects, especially in the transportation and oil/gas industries. We take pride in our highly detailed engineering and analysis work, but this needs to be shared with owners and consultants who can use our unique skills to help make more informed decisions about their specific projects. The purpose of our outreach in Seattle is to bring our expertise and passion to the forefront of conversation,” said Bowers.

“It was a really good event. It’s nice to be able to meet with so many government agencies in one place at one time,” said Bowers.
