Spicewood, TX, May 02, 2013 --(PR.com
)-- Texas Energy Group, LLC (TEG) is pleased to announce the successful drilling of the McCoy Blanding #1 well in Liberty County, Texas. The McCoy Blanding was offered as part of TEG’s Freedom Drilling Project and was drilled in the McCoy Field to a total depth of approximately 7,300’.
“After seeing the drilling logs we initiated some additional testing, utilizing formation tests and cores. The results of these additional tests were highly favorable with substantial oil saturation found in both target sands. We are excited to announce that we are currently moving to complete the McCoy Blanding oil well,” stated Waylan Johnson, President of Texas Energy Group, LLC.
The McCoy Blanding was the second well offered in TEG’s Freedom Project, which included participation from industry partners and TEG investors alike. TEG continues to develop numerous areas in Liberty, Montgomery and Tyler County, Texas with expectations of drilling several more wells in the coming months.
