Governor Pat McCrory to Deliver Commencement Address at Campbell Law

North Carolina’s 74th Governor to Speak at Law School’s Graduation Ceremony on Friday, May 10.

Raleigh, NC, May 03, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Campbell Law School (http://law.campbell.edu) has announced that North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory will deliver the commencement address at Campbell Law School’s 35th annual hooding and graduation ceremony on Friday, May 10. The celebration is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Raleigh Convention Center.

A native of Guilford County, McCrory attended Catawba College and earned degrees in education and political science. Upon graduation he worked for Duke Energy before winning an at-large seat on the Charlotte City Council in 1989. McCrory then went on to win two more elections to the council in 1991 and 1993, serving as mayor pro tem from 1993 to 1995. In 1995 he was elected mayor of Charlotte, a role in which he served for a record 14 years until 2009.

McCrory assumed office as the 74th governor of North Carolina on Jan. 5.
