Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, May 10, 2013 --(PR.com
)-- On March 16, 2013, the beautiful Masjid Tuanku Mizan in Putrajaya, Malaysia hosted over 20,000 people to celebrate the life of the Prophet Muhammad in commemoration of the Maulid celebration. For the organizers, Al-Wariseen Trust, this is the largest privately funded spiritual gathering with invited guests and visitors from several countries in South East Asia as well as Australia and the USA, of which includes former PM Tun Abdullah Badawi.
Event highlights consisted of uplifting poetry recitations, inspirational speeches by international scholars and the entire congregation chanting in unison praising the Prophet Muhammad.
Shaykh Afeefuddin Al-Jailani, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Wariseen shared, "This annual event is always awaited by many but for us the real joy is to see so many smiling faces coming together, united in the love of the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. Even if it is 20 smiles, or 20,000 smiles, we are happy."
It was obvious the attendees enjoyed themselves; on Facebook, Syed Abdul Matyn said, "Beautiful majlis, alhamdulillah"; and from Twitter, @rosemerahsegar tweeted "...saw it, enjoyed the event, well planned, well timed and interactive. Congratulations."
