Hendersonville, TN Resident and HB Williams Elementary School Music Teacher, Bethany Stepleton, Forms a 5th through 8th Grade Community Choir to Unite Sumner & Robertson County in White House, TN.

White House, TN, May 12, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Born and raised in Pontiac, Michigan, Ms. Bethany Stepleton received her Bachelor of Music Ed (K-12) from Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, MI in 1998. Shortly before graduation, Ms. Stepleton felt God's calling on her life to serve the people in the inner city. She moved to Nashville, TN in 1998 to pursue full time missions at an inner city ministry for children, Cottage Cove Urban Ministries. After serving four years in the ministry, God called her to White House, TN to teach elementary music at H.B. Williams Elementary School. Ms. Stepleton volunteers her time to direct "Sound Effects", a 3rd through 4th grade select chorus at H.B. Williams. She received her Masters of Arts in Education from Cumberland University in 2007. Ms. Stepleton is an active member of the Sumner County Elementary Music Teachers Association as well as Long Hollow Baptist Church.

Bethany Stepleton has a passion and God given gift of educating children through music. Despite the fact Bethany Stepleton isn't even a White House, TN resident, she has spent the last 5 years trying to come up with a way to unite Sumner and Robertson County in White House, TN. In January 2013, with the help of a pre-selected advisory board, Ms. Stepleton used her passion and gifts to form Encore! Community Choir.

Encore! Community Choir is an auditioned choir for students in the community of White House, TN. This group seeks to foster personal growth of students in 5th through 8th grade by providing opportunities to sing in a variety of environments. Ms. Stepleton strives to encourage a high level of self-worth, positive self-esteem, and accomplishment. Her goal is to use music as the avenue to encourage students to become lifelong patrons of the arts. Ms. Stepleton is thrilled to offer an audition to interested singers in 5th through 8th grade who reside in White House, TN or are zoned for a White House school.
