Sheldrake Environmental Center is Teaming Up with 2bpresent to Offer This Guided Nature Walk and Meditation Experience

Larchmont, NY, May 21, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Research has shown that spending time in nature has a healing quality that can help people be more peaceful and calm, in what is the very hectic and stressful lifestyle of modern days. Join Sheldrake Environmental Center educator Jenny Geer and 2bpresent meditation instructors, Cheryl Brause and Joanna Wolff, for an opportunity to break away from the stress of day to day life and to experience the incredible gifts that connecting with nature can provide. The combined nature and meditative experience will involve a walk through the beautiful trails by Sheldrake, which will provide a unique sensory experience. Participants will learn to open their awareness to the sights, sounds, touch and tastes of nature around them. Using mindfulness and meditation techniques, participants will discover how to gain a fuller, richer experience outdoors and a greater sense of focus, calm and stillness during theday.

This guided nature experience will be offered on Friday, June 14, from 9:30am to 11 am. Space is limited, so be sure to reserve early. Adults: $27 member, $30 non-member.
