Church of Scientology Open House and Free Theatrical Performance

The Nashville Church of Scientology is holding an open house for the community this Saturday which will include a full theatrical reading of a story in old-time radio style.

Nashville, TN, May 25, 2013 --(PR.com)-- “All are welcome to attend,” says Pastor Brian Fesler of the Church of Scientology when asked about the Open House this Saturday in the church. “We’re having an open house for anyone who wants to just walk in and see the place, and we’ll also have a free theatrical reading of a story in the afternoon to make for a fun time for the whole family.”

The story which will be performed during the open house is “Tough Old Man,” a fiction story written by L. Ron Hubbard prior to the founding of the Scientology religion. The story will be brought to life by talented Hollywood voice actors and professional sound effects.

"Tough Old Man" is a science fiction story about a man named Moffat who is sent for training under old Keno. Nobody else could keep up with the old man, but Moffat is determined. He powers through the planet's extreme cold and heat and its rocky landscape. But what it takes to succeed is a surprise to Moffat.

According to a review on sfsite.com, “The characterizations from the performers' voices create an ambiance that boosts you into a jet pack and thrusts you into the heyday of sci-fi storytelling.”

The Open House lasts from noon to six this Saturday. The story performance will take place at 2:00pm in the community room. The theatrical presentation is free and open to the public, but reservations are required. To RSVP call Julie Brinker at (615) 687-4600.
