GovReports in Line for Top Prestigious Prize

GovReports has become a finalist, for the second year in a row, in the 2013 CeBIT.AU Business Award for Service Distinction.

Sydney, Australia, May 25, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Many accountants and bookkeepers have recognised the advantages of using GovReports since its release in 2011, saving tremendous amounts of time lodging statutory reports and consequently delivering a better service to their clients.

Based on its ability to meet the needs of accountants and feedback from practitioners GovReports has become a finalist, for the second year in a row, in the 2013 CeBIT.AU Business Award for Service Distinction.

Now in its 12th year CeBIT Australia is the largest business technology event in the Asia Pacific, providing Australian businesses with a unique contact point to understand, integrate and benefit from new and developing technologies.

Taking place in Sydney from May 28-30, CeBIT Australia is expected to attract 32,000 visitors and over 500 exhibitors.

Impact Management Group Director Tiana Tran and her team behind GovReports will find out whether it is a case of second time lucky when the winners of the CeBET.AU Business Awards will be announced as part of the CeBIT ICT Celebration Dinner on May 29.

The CeBIT.AU Business Awards recognise outstanding achievement in the information and communications technology industry with the CeBIT.AU Business Award for Service Distinction recognising organisations that have delivered a specific service to customers.

Other finalists in the Service Distinction category this year include AAPT and iinet.

GovReports is the cloud based client management and lodgement portal designed for AUSkey holders to manage and submit reports from a single website to SBR ready government agencies such as the ATO, OSR and ASIC.

If GovReports were to win their category they would then qualify for the CeBIT ICT Excellence Award.

At the award ceremony in 2012 Xero collected both the Top Business Solution Award and the Excellence Award.

"It is a huge honour to be a finalist in the Service Distinction category again and to win the Award this year would be a tremendous achievement," commented Tiana.

"Accountants and bookkeepers constantly provide us with great feedback about the time savings they enjoy and appreciate the convenience of the cloud statutory report lodgement service."

The goal of GovReports is to simplify business reporting, using government services to pre-fill forms and provide intuitive user-friendly functionalities. In the space of 12 months, the number of GovReports users and lodgements has increased, mostly through referrals, by 25 times, indicating wide adoption of the software amongst bookkeepers and accountants.

Industry leaders have praised GovReports for its innovation and features with Matthew Addison, Director at the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers describing it as "a simple, more efficient system, saving business and professionals significant time and effort."

Similarly practitioners have supported GovReports. Paul Meissner, Director of 5Ways Group Chartered Accountants has referred to it as the last piece in the puzzle for the modern cloud accounting practice.

Winning the CeBIT.AU Business Award for Service Distinction would be another tick of approval for GovReports in its short history.
