One-Stop-Shopping for Specialty Summer Camps – from Ukeleles to Coding – Debuts Online

Houston, TX, May 31, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Overly-stressed parents will do a lot less “hopping around” to find varied and engaging activities for their kids this summer (and throughout the year) thanks to Camperoo (www.camperoo.com), an innovative new website where parents can find and register for specialty camps and a variety of enriching and fun programs.
Just as dining sites like OpenTable and travel booking sites like Jetsetter and Tablet Hotels offer unique experiences, destinations and “one-stop shopping ” to consumers, Camperoo applies this concept of “finding hidden gems” and convenience to planning and registering for kids’ activities. Offerings range from “App Design Camp,” “Culinary Camp” and even “Ukulele Camp” along with a smattering of standard fare such as sports and traditional overnight camps – all reviewed and selected for quality by the company’s CEO, who used to run kids’ programs.
According to the American Camp Association, through specialized camps, children can find their niche, learn, and feel good about themselves. For the parents who have multiple kids or are pressed for time, the “one-account system” means mom and dad don't have to spend hours filling out forms – leaving time for them to pursue their own hobbies.

Camperoo is the brainchild of CEO and Co-founder Emmie Chang, who ran computer camps for kids and saw a huge need for the site among the parents she dealt with. “Today’s parent wants a variety of summer experiences for his or her child. And researching and booking camps can be time-consuming and exhausting. We’re providing moms and dads with an easy solution and a carefully curated selection of options that even their friends and neighbors might not know about! Parents can explore different high-quality programs, register and then schedule their kids’ summers – all in one place!” The site currently has 200 camps and activity providers and is adding about 20 per week.
