Fonzworth Bentley to Host LAULYP's 2nd Annual LA in a Day Fashion Show

Special guest celebrities, models, and designers to enjoy poolside fashion show on June 6 at TENTEN Wilshire, featuring L.A.’s hottest African-American designers.

Los Angeles, CA, June 01, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Just in time for summer, the Los Angeles Urban League Young Professionals (LAULYP) announced today that pop culture style icon Fonzworth Bentley will host its’ 2nd Annual L.A. in a Day Fashion Show. This glamorous poolside event will take place Thursday, June 6, 2013 (8 pm – midnight) at the posh TENTEN Wilshire rooftop lounge in downtown L.A.

“L.A. in a Day” will feature summer collections from the city’s hottest couture designers, pop-up boutiques from local vendors, music by TAGG TEAM DJs, a premium open bar sponsored by Courvoisier and complimentary appetizers from Mmm Mmm Catering.

Guests will be taken through L.A. fashion in a day—“from the beach” (Candy Coated Swimwear), “to the streets” (Nikki Kouture) and “to the office suites” (Michael Ferrera). Pop-up boutiques will feature everything from one-of-a-kind handmade jewelry to men’s lifestyle products.

Bentley, named by GQ magazine as the First Gentleman of Hip Hop, will host the event along with actor Leo Breckenridge (Days of Our Lives) and LAULYP marketing chair Gerreka Gilliam. Ethno Nightlife will cover the red carpet and interview celebrity guests, industry insiders, models, stylists and more.

“L.A. in a Day” is an amazing way for L.A. fashionistas to support locally-based designers,” said LAULYP President Abby Harris. “As one of the city’s preeminent hubs for African-American entrepreneurs in any and every avenue, we hope to provide to young designers a showcase for their talents, which is difficult in the competitive fashion world here in L.A.”
