Minnesota Sinfonia Announces Summer Schedule

Minneapolis, MN, June 01, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Minnesota Sinfonia announces it’s free admission summer concert schedule. Their classical Summer Concert Series includes of a set of concerts in June featuring violinist Julia Persitz to be held at Lake Phalen Park in St. Paul and Lake Harriet Pavillion in Minneapolis and the Sinfonia’s annual Youth Outreach concert in July featuring a group of our most talented local young musicians performing with the Minnesota Sinfonia at Lake Harriet Pavilion in Minneapolis.

Also on the schedule are five family pops concerts to be performed in Eagan, Roseville, St. Paul, Coon Rapids and Minneapolis, two children’s concerts featuring the story of The Ugly Duckling, one in Minneapolis and a new location in St. Paul, the Mississippi Creative Arts Magnet School and the Minnesota Sinfonia’s annual Northside Music and Arts Festival to be held at North Commons Park in Minneapolis. Family pops concerts feature lighter musical fare including Broadway and movie tunes, marches, and more. All concerts are free to the public (first-come, first seated), and children are always welcome to attend.

Major Summer Programming supporters include the Minnesota State Arts Board, National Endowment for the Arts, Target, Pentair Foundation, Pohlad Family Foundation, McNeely Foundation, Twin Cities Hotel Deals, Xcel Energy, Minneapolis and St. Paul Parks and Recreation Departments and Minneapolis and St. Paul Public Schools.
