WRBZ-WDNC Sports Radio 850 The Buzz and 620 The Bull Renews NFL Play by Play with Westwood One Radio Networks

WRBZ/WDNC to air Sunday and Monday Night Football Games, Super Bowl and more for the 2007 Season

Raleigh, NC, August 23, 2007 --(PR.com)-- McClatchey Broadcastings’ WRBZ-AM, Sports Radio 850 The Buzz and WDNC-AM 620 The Bull, announced today the renewal of NFL Play By Play with Westwood One Radio. Through this year’s partnership, 850 The Buzz and 620 The Bull remain as Raleigh-Durham’s home for the 2007 NFL season.

Westwood One/CBS Radio Sports, the NFL's exclusive radio network partner since 1987, will partner with McClatchey stations WRBZ/WDNC to continue to broadcast regular-season and postseason NFL games, including the Monday Night Football, Sunday night football, the NFL Playoffs, the Super Bowl and the Pro Bowl.

“We are very pleased to continue our long standing relationship with Westwood One to bring our listeners coverage of the NFL games – many of which are not available by other means in our market,” commented WRBZ/WDNC General Manager, Brian Maloney.

In addition to the Westwood One slate of NFL games, the Carolina Panthers renewed exclusive play-by-play rights with WRBZ.
