Soundview Executive Book Summaries to Host Webinar with Marc Schoen

Soundview Executive Book Summaries will host an interactive webinar on June 12th with best-selling author Marc Schoen, to discuss the concepts in his latest book, Your Survival Instinct is Killing You.

Philadelphia, PA, June 06, 2013 --(PR.com)-- In this Soundview Live webinar, How to Retrain Your Brain, Dr. Marc Schoen will explain how the Survival Instinct is the culprit that triggers a person to overeat, prevents the insomniac from sleeping, causes the executive to unravel under pressure, leads travelers to avoid planes or freeways, inflames pain, and closes down an individual to love.

Provocative, eye-opening, and surprisingly practical with his strategies and ideas, Dr. Schoen will show you how to build up your “instinctual muscles” for successfully managing discomfort while taming your overly reactive Survival Instinct. You will learn that the management of discomfort is the single most important skill for the twenty-first century. Dr. Schoen has specialized in Mind-Body Medicine for over twenty five years. Currently, he is an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA’s Geffen School of Medicine, where he teaches medical students about the role that the mind plays in influencing health, as well its role in performance and decision making under pressure.

Dr. Schoen has a particular expertise in Hypnosis, and has developed a method which he calls HypnoConditioning, which combines two proven methods, Hypnosis and Conditioning, for retraining the brain and body. He has researched and studied, and found it to be particularly effective in boosting performance and decision making under pressure, conquering fears, and resolving many health conditions, such as Sleep Disturbance, Headaches, Pain, Stress, Irritable Bowel, Colitis, Arthritis, Allergies, Post-Surgical Recovery, Panic Attacks, Phobias, and Skin Disorders. He also treats conditions such as Panic Attacks, Test Anxiety, and Phobias.

Dr. Schoen has a strong interest in the area of Inflammation, and his research and practice have examined ways where the mind and body can be retrained to reduce the inflammatory response. He has also researched how the mind and body can be retrained via HypnoConditioning to boost Test Performance such as on College Entrance or Professional Exams while controlling test stress or test anxiety.

Attendees will learn:

* How our survival instinct can work against us in our current environment.
* 15 simple strategies to stay cool, calm and collected.
* How to deal appropriately with discomfort.
* How to handle performance and decision-making under pressure.
