Dr. Basu serves as an Associate Professor of Medicine at Columbia University, a Clinical Professor at Hofstra University and as the Chief of Gastroenterology at Hofstra School of Medicine, where he is responsible for transplants. Dr. Basu treats inflammatory bowel disease, gastrointestinal cancer, peptic ulcer and esophageal diseases including acid reflux to Barrett’s Esophagus. In addition, he also provides cutting-edge diagnostic and therapy, 24 hour pH monitoring and pill endoscopy. Dr. Basu conducted and created Novel Quadruple Therapy for Heliobactor Pylori. He is affiliated with the American Gastrointestinal Association, American Advanced Studies of Liver Diseases, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Crohn’s Colitis Foundation of America.
