New Crestron TSW Touch Screens: Control Never Looked So Good

Sleek, ultra-bright, HD displays with edge-to-edge capacitive glass and stunning graphics complements the latest mobile devices on the conference table or on the wall

Rockleigh, NJ, June 14, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Control never looked so good. Crestron is showcasing its new TSW family of touch screens in Booth #2900 at InfoComm 2013 in Orlando, June 12-14. These touch screens feature high-resolution graphics and vibrant colors that bring exclusive Smart Graphics™ to life. The spectacularly ultra-bright display, capacitive touch screen, H.264 streaming video, and edge-to-edge glass, provide a stunning interactive experience. Single-wire PoE connectivity and standard backbox mounting makes installation quick and easy. TheTSW-1050 ten-inch touch screen is perfect for video conferencing and other commercial applications, while the seven-inch TSW-750and five-inch TSW-550 round out the line. Each is available in wall mount or tabletop models.

The TSW family provides the high performance control expected from Crestron, with the elegant design elements found in the latest mobile devices. Smart Graphics enable gestures navigation, swiping, and kinetic effects such as knobs, sliders, gauges, and scrolling lists common in smart phones and tablets. As a dedicated control interface, TSWs also feature five soft-touch buttons that provide quick access to commonly used functions.

"TSWs feature the sleek design elements we all love in our mobile devices, such as capacitive touch screens and edge-to-edge glass," explains Fred Bargetzi, Crestron VP of Technology. "They also support dynamic Smart Graphics, such as slides and scrolling lists; they install easily, and are a fraction of the price of previous touch screens. They're a real game changer."

Crestron TSW touch screens are also intelligently engineered with the functionality needed for modern commercial applications:

Rava™ SIP Intercom technology
Exclusive Rava SIP Intercom technology enables hands-free full-duplex VoIP communication between any two Rava-enabled Crestron touch screens and IP phone systems. This feature makes it extremely convenient for calling the help desk if support is needed.

H.264 Streaming Video
High-performance H.264 streaming video capability enables crisp and colorfully vivid viewing of streaming video on the razor sharp high-definition display. Users can view content from media servers, including the Crestron Network Video Streamer, security cameras, web cameras and other H.264 streaming video sources.

Power over Ethernet
PoE connectivity simplifies installation for both new and retrofit applications. All control, video, intercom, and power signals are transmitted over a single Ethernet wire with one connection, eliminating the hassles of pulling bundles of wire through walls and floors. By obtaining operating power through the LAN wiring, PoE technology eliminates the need for a local power supply or any dedicated power wiring.

Ease of Installation
TSW-1050 and TSW-750 wall mount models install easily using a standard 2-gang backbox. Using the included post-construction brackets, any TSW can neatly and quickly attach directly to drywall and other surfaces. TSW magnetically adheres to its mounting bracket, eliminating any visible screws to provide a clean, hi-tech appearance in any interior design. For added design versatility, optional tabletop mounting kits are available for all TSW models.

Use VT Pro-e® and SIMPL, or the new Crestron Studio™ software to program TSW touch screens.
