Leading the Digital Revolution, Crestron Expands DigitalMedia™ Family with New Streaming, 4K, and Acoustic Echo Cancelling Technologies

The most powerful AV networking platform ever developed gets even more robust.

Rockleigh, NJ, June 14, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Crestron will demonstrate its new DigitalMedia™ technology at InfoComm 2013 in Orlando, FL, June 12-14. Highlights include all-new streaming capability, the new 64X64 DigitalMedia Switcher with 4K Ultra HD support, and the DMPS-300-C-AEC with acoustic echo cancellation. Crestron DigitalMedia is the world's only complete, engineered digital AV distribution solution and the most powerful audio/video networking platform ever developed.

Streaming Video
As streaming technology increasingly becomes the standard for today's long distance media distribution, Crestron DigitalMedia takes the next leap forward to meet this need. DM's new streaming capabilities allow you to distribute AV content and digital signage across a building, across campus, and now across the world.

Crestron DigitalMedia streaming capability offers further content distribution advantages such as the ability to:

- Stream AV over Ethernet without distance limitations
- Enable H.264 video content via RTSP
- Reduce infrastructure cost

"On a Crestron DM® AV platform, organizations can now stream their own content over IP anywhere in the world. This is perfect for on-demand viewing, meetings, lectures, and promotions," said Fred Bargetzi, Crestron VP of Technology. "Distance is no longer a limitation in digital AV distribution."

Crestron DigitalMedia becomes a power platform and can now stream virtually any format source, including HDMI®, HD-SDI, DVI, VGA, and composite video, all from within the same chassis. Chassis outputs can also mix formats and are capable of simultaneously handling HDMI, HDBaseT®, CAT5e/6, multimode fiber, single-mode fiber, and streaming, using an existing single-platform DM infrastructure.

64x64 DigitalMedia™ Switcher Now Shipping
Introducing the next generation in video switching, the 64X64 DigitalMedia Switcher joins the popular 8x8, 16X16, and 32X32 models in the category-defining DigitalMedia family of commercial grade digital AV switchers. Featuring all-new and advanced architecture only found in the DM-MD64X64, the switcher is built to meet the high-definition and analog AV distribution requirements for large commercial facilities such as stadiums, arenas, universities, and corporate enterprises.

In addition to increased capacity, the 64X64 DigitalMedia switcher delivers valuable new system features including 4K Ultra HD support, built-in Web server for remote access, hot-swappable modular blade I/O expansion system, built-in 15" color touch screen, hot swappable redundant power supplies, and more. The largest capacity DM switcher to date accepts, manages and distributes 64 AV sources of virtually any signal type across long and short distances over a Cat5e wire or fiber - all on a single platform. Built on the same architecture as the 64X64 DM switcher, the 128X128 DigitalMedia Switcher is scheduled for release on September 1.

DigitalMedia Presentation System with Acoustic Echo Cancellation
The award-winning DigitalMedia Presentation System 300 (DMPS-300-C) is the most popular, best-selling product in the vast Crestron catalog. Tens of thousands of boardrooms and conference rooms around the world are driven by the DMPS. The latest addition to the DMPS line is the DMPS-300-C-AEC, the only all-in-one digital AV presentation system with built-in echo cancelling.

Featuring full-bandwidth acoustic echo cancellation on each of its six mic inputs, DMPS-300-C-AEC filters out disruptive echoes from voice communications during teleconferencing calls. With no additional hardware or software needed, the DMPS setup tool (included in Crestron Toolbox) makes it easy to deliver a premium-quality echo-free audio system in every room without having to be an acoustician.

DMPS efficiently integrates multiple components into a single rackmountable package, including a control processor, multimedia matrix switcher, mic mixer, audio DSP, amplifier, and now AEC.
