Plano, TX, June 15, 2013 --(PR.com)-- InTouch Credit Union is thrilled to introduce their inaugural Batter Up for Banking season to be held at their local Texas branches this summer. This unique youth financial literacy program, to occur four times throughout the baseball season, features the opportunity for the public to meet, have fun and learn money management skills with Frisco RoughRiders players.

The ‘Riders are the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers; their home games are held at Dr. Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, Texas. The RoughRiders have boasted the highest minor league attendance of any team throughout the minor leagues every season since 2005.

The Credit Union launched this program due in part to the overwhelming success of their Bank to Achieve basketball program, which featured branch visits by players from Mav’s D-League affiliate, the Texas Legends, for the past two seasons.

The events will run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on select Saturday mornings at the ITCU branches located in Little Elm, Frisco, McKinney and Plano. Each of these events will feature appearances by ‘Riders players and/or mascots who will be available for photos or autographs. Financial workbooks and coloring sheets for ages 0-10 and 11-18 will be provided to attendees. Other giveaways include the chance to win tickets to an upcoming RoughRiders game. Donuts, coffee and orange juice will be available and all event activities are free of charge.

ITCU is proud to be a corporate partner of the RoughRiders, now in their 11th season at Dr. Pepper Ballpark. Additionally, the ballpark’s InTouch Grille, located in the Founder’s Members ticketholder level, has been renovated this season to feature an updated menu and ice cream sundae bar.

ITCU and the RoughRiders invite the public to join them on the date listed at the indicated branch from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for this fun family event:
