Experience the Wine Country in Chile with New Options from Yampu Tours

Stowe, VT, June 19, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Yampu Tours is excited to announce new wine country add-on options for their tours to Chile. Yampu Tours has been developing tailor-made tours for over 15 years, and designs trips of a lifetime to Latin America, Africa, India/S. Asia, and South-East Asia. As South America stands as the specialty of Yampu, their enthusiasm for new tours in the region is sparked by their fourth nomination for the Leading Tour Operator in South America from the World Travel Awards. With this, the travel gurus have been heightening their travel options to their star destinations.

Yampu has designed new bike and wine tours in Chile. In both the Colchagua and the Casablanca Valleys, clients will have the opportunities to bike through paradise, and visiting wineries, and tasting the cuisine of such a flavorful nation.

The following is a description of the basics for the Casablanca Bike Tour:

Casablanca Bike & Wine 2 Day Tour

The Casablanca Valley is famed for its Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir and is a little taste of paradise right outside of Santiago. A cool coastal breeze makes the climate ideal for these varietals and for cycling! The bike routes follow mostly flat terrain on quiet and scenic back roads. Clients typically ride 20-30 miles per day at a moderate pace to allow time to enjoy the scenery, visit the wineries and enjoy a tasty picnic lunch in the vineyards. Ride on hybrid mountain bikes that ride smooth on pavement, are comfortable on gravel roads and allow the more adventuresome to explore the more rugged terrain in the vineyards.

The following is an example of a daily itinerary for the Colchagua Bike & Wine Tour option:

Colchagua Bike & Wine 3 Day Tour

Day 2
Departing from Santa Cruz, clients will ride largely flat roads today. Heading west they can make an early stop at the Estampa Winery for a tasting, or check out the restored Hacienda El Huique Museum. A stroll through the sprawling 20,000 foot adobe mansion will take clients back to Chilean colonial times. Winding through the town of Peralillo, they will arrive at Los Vascos Winery, the Chilean estate of Domains Barons de Rothschild (Lafite). Immediately following the winery visit, they will have a typical Chilean lunch in the town of Poblacion--just 15 minutes down the road. Arrive in the afternoon to the Residencia Historica, a fabulous country house that dates back to the 18th century and has been transformed into a wonderful boutique hotel. Total miles: 38
