Erie, PA, June 25, 2013 --(PR.com
)-- Lyons Den Productions, in cooperation with Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, are proud to announce a special outdoor film event featuring “There Are No Goodbyes,” on Friday July 12th at 9:00pm. The screening will take place in the lawn next to the Reed Union Building on the Behrend campus. This event is free and open to the public and the film’s content is equivalent to a PG-13 rating. Members of the cast and crew will be in attendance for a Q&A following the screening.
Writer/director John C. Lyons said of the upcoming event “Our productions are based in Erie so we are honored to be able to show the final cut of our film (four years in the making) at such a great, outdoor venue and to a hometown audience.”
“There Are No Goodbyes” is the second feature length film from the award-winning team at Lyons Den Productions who celebrated its World Premiere in April at the 40th annual Athens International Film + Video Festival and its Pennsylvania Premiere in Pittsburgh on June 16th. It is a story about choices and finding purpose in one’s life in the context of the current sociopolitical climate of blue-collar America. In addition to Erie and Pittsburgh PA, scenes from the independent production were shot overseas in Poland, Czech Republic, and Ireland. The production was made possible in part by a Pennsylvania Film Tax Credit award and a successful online crowd-funding campaign.
The film will debut on DVD and Digital Download in July at ThereAreNoGoodbyes.com. The Limited Edition DVD/CD set of “There Are No Goodbyes” featuring an extended cut plus extras such as outtakes and the soundtrack featuring a compilation of talented northwestern Pennsylvania musicians will be available for purchase for a discount at the event.
