Mumbai, India, June 27, 2013 --(PR.com
)-- Lithasa, a startup by a student from IIT Bombay, are introducing a new publishing model to the e-book market. And they claim that this is going to change the present e-book industry.
E-book sales in India are surprising analysts. Many big companies like Penguin, Flipkart have entered into the e-book market. It is good to have competition but the Management from "Lithasa" is not worrying about the competition. In their words “we will not walk on the same path but we build our own path. So why worry about the traffic?” Interesting comparison.
Self-publishing used to be an option for authors who faced rejection. But now, authors choose it as a first option because of the availability to be flexible and independence. Fifty Shades of Grey which is a perfect example, which happened to be released as self-published book.
Lithasa offers flexibility for authors and for those who wanted to be one. Authors can sell their books by naming their own price. And the surprising thing is, it introduced a new model that can change the present publishing industry. So, authors don’t have to wait 240 days to write a book, another 240 days to see the book, and 360 days to get your first revenue.
“We built a product for the ‘artist’s,’ who create new books, new poems, new films & videos. Our product will introduce new revenue models & new publishing models,” says S.Vinay Kumar CEO & Founder of Lithasa and also who happens to be an author of two novels, "Is She The One?" and "The ark and the curse of the oracle" at the age of 20. He says, “artists are entrepreneurs. They create new things out of nothing but their execution model sucks.”
Lithasa is launching itself on 28th June. It has a team of five people and is growing very fast. Adding to the news, came to know that, Vinay Kumar, founded two more startups and worked as a Marketing Manager for an enterprise while still being a student from IIT Bombay. Vinay says, “I love exploring things and grabbing the opportunities. Innovation is my motive.”
Let’s see what they planned for "Videos & film makers."
