Celebrate Orange County’s Culinary Excellence at the 2013 Golden Foodie Awards

A Red Carpet Evening Honoring Cuisine and Libations Hosted by Frances Dilorinzo

Newport Beach, CA, June 29, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The second annual Golden Foodie Awards gala, produced by the OC Restaurant Association, Inc. and hosted by digital sensation and comedian Frances Dilorinzo, will commemorate the crème de la crème of Orange County’s culinary talent at the Fairmont Newport Beach on Sunday, September 29, 2013. The red carpet affair will showcase foodie awards in 30 categories, dish up nearly 20 tantalizing culinary stations, serve multiple signature cocktail bars and present live entertainment that will set the stage for a night to remember.

Incredible cuisine will abound at the Golden Foodie Awards and delight the most discerning of palettes. Guests will enjoy specialty menu offerings from Orange County restaurants including Hopscotch Tavern, 118 Degrees, Scott’s Restaurant and Bar, LUCCA, SOL Cocina, Savannah Chop House, Orange Hill Restaurant, The Winery Restaurant and Wine Bar, Villa Roma, Maro Wood Grill, Chapter One: the modern local, RA Sushi, Ruth’s Chris Steak House – Irvine and Melissa’s Fresh Produce Bar. Sub-zero will be presenting a BBQ station with meats by West Coast Prime and Europa Specialty Sausages. Artisan Bread by Sadie Rose Bread will be served with Aged White Cheddar from Cabot Cheese to compliment the mouth watering wine selections.

Wines by Kendall Jackson Estates and La Crema will be tray passed and craft beers will be available courtesy of Ritual Brewing. Patrón will be pouring signature Fresh Juiced Cocktails in addition to presenting an overflowing Margarita Fountain. Chambord will be shaking and stirring mouthwatering special vodka cocktails.

During the Awards ceremony in the elegant Fairmont Newport Beach ballroom, guests will indulge in a cornucopia of delectable desserts from Casey’s Cupcakes, Toffees by Addington Confections, Midas Tarts and Shortbreads by Blackmarket Bakery, Celebrity Cruise Chocolate Strawberries, Patrón Cake Pops, pastries by Andrei’s and Bon Bon’s of Gold from Valenza Chocolatier. Kéan Coffee will be available to caffeinate and then rehydrate with the sweet taste of Hawaiian Springs Water, one of the worlds finest natural waters, as well as Acqua Panna while enjoying the entertainment of the lively Awards show. Immediately following the Golden Foodie Awards gala guests will dance under the stars to the sounds of contemporary jazz by OC Music Awards Best Latin and Jazz winner, Nancy Sanchez.
