Queen of Wraps Offers Education on Vehicle Wrap Scam

The Queen of Wraps, a Salt Lake City based printing and vehicle wrap company is offering education about a growing vehicle wrap related scam.

Salt Lake City, UT, July 05, 2013 --(PR.com)-- A growing trend in the scam world now involves vehicle wraps. In this new scam, perpetrators offer an individual money to drive with an advertisement of a national company on his/her car. An initial compensation check is mailed to the individual with a request to send back some funds to cover design/material expenses. After the money is sent back to the company, the individual is alerted by his/her bank that the check is falsified and that he/she must pay back the check amount plus the amount of money that was sent to the scam artist.

“This is a troubling trend,” says Harley Griffith, CEO of Queen of Wraps. “Not only does this harm many individuals but it also harms the vehicle wrap industry in Utah and across the country.” To help educate the public, the Queen of Wraps has trained all vehicle wrap specialists about the scam so that they can answer questions someone may have with relation to a potential fraudulent situation. Griffith added, “By educating the community and answering questions about vehicle wraps, we can help protect individuals as well as our industry.”
