Synygy's Software-as-a-Service Offering Scores Highest Possible Rating in an Independent Security Audit

Strong Commitment to Security of Software and Protection of Client Data Underscored

Chester, PA, August 27, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Synygy, Inc., the largest provider of solutions for solving problems related to the management of sales compensation plans, today announced the results of a security assessment conducted by Allied InfoSecurity. The independent audit of Synygy's software-as-a-service offering found consistently high levels of security and resistance to penetration.

“Unlike other providers of sales compensation management solutions, Synygy owns and operates its own data centers and has been providing on-demand solutions for over a decade without using third-party software hosting companies,” said Mark A. Stiffler, president and CEO. “We are pleased that an independent audit has validated the security of our complete offering, including security of software and protection of client data.”

Carl W. Herberger, president and CEO of Allied InfoSecurity, summarized the findings: “Synygy maintains a very strong commitment to information security, takes very strong steps to minimize web-application, operating system, and network-level vulnerabilities, and provides for a strong degree of security for their environment and associated client data.”

To protect client data, Synygy's security measures cover application, data, server, network, and physical security. To ensure 24/7 application availability, Synygy's data center includes redundant physical systems, multiple Internet connections, application monitoring, data center monitoring, backups, an escalation process, and a disaster recovery process. To ensure optimal performance and scalability, Synygy monitors, maintains, and upgrades the hardware, third-party software, and Synygy software. To integrate with its clients' existing applications, Synygy has proven its ability to import and export data to nearly all major ERP, CRM, HR, sales, payroll, and finance systems, including legacy systems and software from PeopleSoft, Siebel, Oracle, and SAP.

In addition to data security, the audit gives high marks regarding Synygy's web-native Sales Performance Management software modules, with some of the strongest results that the Allied InfoSecurity testing team had encountered to date.

Synygy's data centers provide a highly scalable environment with a fault tolerant design. The primary data center is located in Chester, Pennsylvania in a former electric power plant that was built in 1917 and transformed into a modern office complex between 2001 through 2005. The data center was engineered by Syska Hennesy Group and opened for operations in June 2005. It is located securely in a room the size of a football field with six foot thick walls and a 100 foot high ceiling that formerly housed giant electric turbines.
